This page explains what I collect on thisisvai.com, why, and what you can ask me to do with it. I've kept it short because there isn't much to tell.

If you subscribe to my letter

I collect your email address and nothing else. It goes to Brevo, the service I use to send the letter. Before you're added, Brevo sends you an email asking you to confirm, so nobody can sign you up without you knowing.

I use your address to send you the letter each week and the occasional note about it. I don't sell it, rent it or give it to anyone else.

Like most email tools, Brevo tells me whether a letter was opened and which links were clicked. I look at that to see what people find useful.

Every email has an unsubscribe link at the bottom. One click and you're off the list. I keep your address until you unsubscribe or ask me to delete it.

When you visit the site

I use Google Analytics to see which pages people read, roughly where they're reading from, what device they use and how they found the site. It sets cookies in your browser to do this. None of it is linked to your email address. You can block it with any ad or tracker blocker and the site still works.

The site runs on Cloudflare, which handles every request to deliver the pages and keep out attacks. That includes your IP address and browser details.

If you switch between light and dark mode, the site saves your choice in a small cookie called "theme". It holds nothing else.

Links to EfficiaLabs

Some links on this site go to efficialabs.com, the company I co-founded. Those links carry tags so EfficiaLabs can see that a visit came from here. EfficiaLabs has its own privacy policy.

What you can ask me

You can ask me what I hold about you, ask me to correct it, or ask me to delete it. Email me and I'll take care of it.

If I change how I handle your data, I'll update this page and change the date at the top.
